Louis’ story 26 “Clothes for clubfoot”

Hi everyone!

One winters evening about 10 months ago I was chatting to my husband saying why is there no shop online that specializes in clothes for babies with clubfoot? I then said to myself, well, I have the experience of Louis and as he is getting a bit older I also have more time on my hands so why not do this myself?! Well, 10 months later I am delighted to introduce “ Clever Clothing Club” – an online store that specializes in clothing for babies that undergo treatment for club foot! 

There are two brand of clothing on sale. CLUB FOOT is, as the name implies, clothes for babies with clubfoot. The other brand is SIMPLY CLEVER, and that offers most of the same to babies without the condition as they are just as versatile and clever for any baby!

The clothes have been sourced or designed specifically to fit over full leg plaster casts and/or with snaps / poppers along the inside of the legs to also fit when baby wears boots and bar (AFO)! Many of the trousers with snaps have wide legs so they fit both during plaster and boots and bar stage. The soft jogging style trousers, tops and romper suits are 100% organic cotton.

I am awaiting the final delivery of my winter collection at the end of October. This includes a baby grow / onesie that fit over plaster cast and has handy peep folds at the toes, leggings with snaps / poppers for little girls and frilly soft trousers with snaps / poppers and matching top. I am hoping to have an overall with snaps / poppers that fit babies wearing boots and bars later this year/early next year.

Louis is doing very well by the way – now 2 years old he is obsessed with airplanes and has recently got a pyjamas with them on so is looking every inch a future aviator J His next hospital appointment is December the 5^th.
