ps it was all a bit vague, he was assessed pre discharge on ward by paediatrician and they said they would refer him to orthopoedics. It was over a week before we got an appointment through for 3 weeks later. The letter was just for a clinic, no more details than that. He was seen by consultant and went into plaster that day, so be prepared that they will just do it!

hiya, Im in Nottingham and my little boy is now going to have his fifth plaster cast on tomorrow for his bilateral talipes. Noah didn't start the casts until one month after his birth, which is the first time they could get us into clinic (they only run it on a thursday afternoon). It hasn't caused him any issues and he is progressing really well.In fact, his left foot is ready for bar and boots but has to stay in plaster until right foot is ready too, the right foot was always worse. I think in a way its better that it doesnt start straight away as it gives you a bit of time to get to know them and to get used to being a parent, before dealing with the next hurdle (not sure if i felt like this as Noah is our first child). Hope you are ok, and even though its horrible finding out at least you will be prepared and once you have him you wont even notice - Noah wears normal babygros and people don't even realise he has casts on. Please let me know if you need any info or help xx
