I just thought I would give a quick update on how Aoibheann is doing. She has now been in the boots & bar for about 6 mths & for the past 3 mths has only been wearing them at night which is brilliant. I was so thrilled the 1st day that I got to put a proper pair of trousers on her it was brill.She really has had no major problems at all with the boots & bar & we have never once had a problem with them slipping or coming off in anyway. Well its been 4 weeks now since Aoibheanns cast where removed & she started wearing the boots & bar and thankfully we have had no problems at all.The 1st & 2nd night where quite hard as you could here her frustration in her cries. Aoibheann was a baby who liked sleeping on her side & now here she was having to sleep on her back and her feet where now restricted.On night 3 we moved her from her moses basket into her big cot & as you can see she looks so small but she slept…See More

Well its been 4 weeks now since Aoibheanns cast where removed & she started wearing the boots & bar and thankfully we have had no problems at all.
The 1st & 2nd night where quite hard as you could here her frustration in her cries. Aoibheann was a baby who liked sleeping on her side & now here she was having to sleep on her back and her feet where now restricted.On night 3 we moved her from her moses basket into her big cot & as you can see she looks so small but…

Our last day of casts wow can't believe that we are moving onto the next stage already, as this will be the main stage & what we have to get used to for the next few years. We went along to OLH & the nurses & staff are just so nice. Got the cast taken of nice & quick, which she really didn't like as her feet where extra sensative. The scar from the tenotomy is hardly there its crazy.
