Finally, we are a on the other side of Alex's first operation in Crumlin and all went well. After it being postponed for 2 weeks we were prepared for another postponement on the morning when we rang…Continue

Hi, my name is Audrey and mum to Alex (11½), Freya (5½) and Aoibhinn (3½). Alex was born in July 1998 with bilateral talipes which didn't come as a shock as I had seen a program the week before on…Continue

We are now a week on from Alex's operation... Yes, you heard right, it went ahead. The procedure used to get her in the door was a little different and probably a little out of order but it worked in the end without cancellation.

It's been such a long haul for us all but hopefully it's about to come to an end soon.
Since the end of April this year, after Alex's op to remove the veruca, the follow up appointment and the first phone call to get her back on the list, it's been a battle to get any information from anyone in Crumlin, no matter who I spoke to or what department I was put through to. Since being told by Ms Kelly's registrar at the end of June that Alex was penciled in for the end of July,…

13/08/11 - Update
Still no word from the hospital and yet another summer wasted. We cancelled all plans of a holiday this year and the hospital told me that Alex was top of the list for a cancellation and was penciled in for the end of July but we never heard back and here we are in the middle of August and as and from 2 weeks ago Ms Kelly is on holidays until September so no chance of even a date until her return meaning the waiting and…

28th March 2011
Hi all, hope everyone is well. We were all set for the 21st March as planned but unfortunately it didn't go quite as well as we had hoped...
The story begins:
After Alex's first operation last July, she started physio sessions in Crumlin, once to twice a week. All went well and we were happy with the outcome. We never thought at the time that walking around the floor in bear feet would cause a problem but it did as she developed a…
